LHAC Founder & Gallerist

Karen Desrosiers has been pursuing the arts for her entire life, taking classes and painting on any surface available since a very young age. As an adult, and after a detour into the high tech world, she made the decision to pursue a life based in creativity, following her passions.

Desrosiers has over twenty years experience in the arts. She was the Executive Director of the Exeter Center for Creative Arts (ECCA) and has been involved with a number of other municipal and non-profit arts organizations in the seacoast area of New Hampshire.

Desrosiers also has a passion for writing. While director of ECCA, she returned to school to earn a Masters of Fiction Writing from SNHU. She has published several non-fiction books, essays, and short stories, and teaches writing both privately and at the university level.

Starting the Lane House Arts Center is a long-held dream and passion project for Desrosiers. She is a firm believer in the power of creativity and community-based arts. With Lane House, she has created a community of working artists, supporting many artists, and providing enrichment to the greater community. Her goal is to foster a "vortex of positive energy."
